Framing progress.  Most of the first floor walls are framed and they are currently working on the mudroom connector.  Floor trusses are planned to be delivered in the next couple days and early next week they will begin framing the second floor.  The garage slab is being poured next week.  As soon as that dries/cures the garage framing will start.

Foundation wall waterproofed.  Next steps pour garage slab and start framing.

The back yard is rough graded.  It is going to be a really nice large yard.  The foundation corner in the middle of the photo is the back corner of the garage with the house beyond.  The garage foundation is stepped up to catch the grade at the high point around the structure.

Concrete pads in the crawl space for the posts that will support the central beam below the floor joists.

A close up view of the spray on wall waterproofing.  The brick will build up from the stepping portion of the wall you see here.

Foundation is almost complete.  The rebar is being set and the cores of the block are being poured solid with concrete this afternoon / tomorrow morning.  The foundation waterproofing will go in tomorrow and framing should start next week.

The back yard is being flattened out and is looking great.  The removal of additional trees and spreading the excess dirt to the Northeast is creating a much larger backyard.  The dozer is sitting at approximately the crest of the berm which will continue Northeast to create a buffer to the fence running along the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Track Hoe is parked on the autocourt.  The grade is fairly close to the final level of the Auto Court.  The next step here will be to build the retaining wall on the front side.  The machine has just removed a large pile of dirt in this location.

The house corners staked to layout the foundation:

Footings trenched and ready for concrete:

Steel reinforcing placed in bottom of footers:

Concrete footings poured!  The vertical foundation walls will start later this week with framing following soon.  The vertical rebar in the photos will tie the block foundation wall to the footings.

Photos looking into the site from the street.  Gravel temporary construction entrance which is also the final driveway entrance location.  The gravel is required by the Ramble to prevent truck tires from bringing mud onto the road.

End gravel construction drive looking toward the auto court and front of the house.
The grade is currently cut to the level of the crawl space which meets grade at the front left corner.  The final grade will come up slightly at the parking and back side of the house.  It is being flattened out for the back yard.

Drive looking towards the garage location.

Back corner of the garage will retain the existing grade height and slope down towards the back yard.  You can also see dirt being piled up where the landscaped earth berm will eventually be.  This will sheild the house from noise and car lights that might be seen from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Dirt being piled up that will eventually fill in the auto court.  Some of the dirt will also be used to grade up the front of the autocourt wall to dimish it's height as seen from the road.

Standing at approximately the garage looking back towards the street.  The driveway is going to have a very gradual and easy slope up to the parking areas.
